The weather in Ohio this past week was pretty wonderful. The old English proverb about March “blowing in like a lion” has held and we’ll just have to see if it truly exits “like a lamb” as foretold. Next, we get the rain, and then May’s flowers and that’s fine by me.

We have our dates set up for Farmers’ Markets this year and wanted to share them here as a single reference pint. We’ve once again teamed up with some of our favorite market managers as well as adding a new spot to the list. The goal is to grow our audience while staying true to the locals that helped put us on the map. We’re still doing one Cincinnati market this year, but in place of the other we picked up a place called Centerville! Some of you may know it from such films as “high school,” or that old trusty nightlife location for reckless teenagers with nothing better to do than have run-ins with the police department called “John Hole Playground after hours.” Seriously, stay outta there you meddling kids…

We will be at the Centerville Market once a month on Thursday from 3-7:00 pm, May through October. The location is given as 892 S. Main Street, 45458, and the dates are May 27, June 24, July 22, August 26, September 23, and October 14. Like I said this will be our first year so if you are in the area please stop by and help us settle in a bit, wontcha?

Our once a month Saturday hot sauce tour to Cincinnati continues with the Montgomery Farmers’ Market, where we have a tendency to spend our petty cash on French style pastries and local cheeses that are both too damn good to resist. The location is given as 9609 Montgomery Road, 45242, and the dates are May 29, June 26, July 24, August 28, September 25, and October 16. We built a little following there last year, even under the pressures of a pandemic, and we are so excited to see these folks again. This is one of the most well run, community supported markets I’ve been a part of.

Sundays always feel like a couch day at This Old Farmers’ Market in Beavercreek, easy and relaxed. Bryan and his crew are expanding this year and I’m super excited to see what all they will roll out. I know they’ve expanded the space and I believe they are at an all time high for vendors. Some of our favorite folks work and play at these Sunday Fundays and I anticipate lots of both shenanigans and antics. The location is given as 3930 Dayton Xenia Road, 45432, and the dates for JuicyMelt are May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, September 26, and October 17.

And last, but certainly not least, is our Saturday return to the Oakwood Farmers’ Market. This is basically our home market. We cut our teeth in this parking lot and my familiarity with how things function or don’t is based upon my many setups in this space. Oakwood is a wonderful host and they draw a great crowd of vendors and shoppers. The location is given as 22 Orchard Drive, 45419, and our dates are June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, and October 9.
